WestWater Engineering conducted an infiltation/inflow study that included both dry weather (non-irrigation) and wet weather (irrigation) I/I flows for the Dos Rio sewer collection system that is managed by Gunnison County. The system consists of approximately 55,000 feet of 8, 10, and 12 inch sewer line with over 100 manholes.

A cost-benefit analysis was prepared for each priority, based on the estimated capital cost to correct infiltration or continue paying for treatment of infiltration. Gunnison County completed the rehabilitation project that corrected the majority of other areas in theDos Rios collection system.
